This is a tiny 1955 or so vintage sports car made by Eshelman of Baltimore Maryland. It will accommodate 2 children or 1 adult. It is tiny and measures only 55 inches long by 24 inches wide and 23 inches high. It has a single cylinder 4 stroke cycle Briggs & Stratton engine up front driving a centrifugal clutch that runs a belt back to drive both of the rear wheels through identical chain reductions on each rear wheel. The chassis is of heavy gauge steel sheet material as is most of the body. The front and back of the body share the same aluminum castings that say “ESHELMAN” above the grille opening. The front casting has holes for headlamps while the rear casting has no corresponding holes for lights of any kind. The steering wheel is made of cast iron, also says “ESHELMAN” on it, and is missing a small piece of the hub. The pair of headlamps are actually 1950s vintage full-size automotive backup lamps with glass lenses. I found a pair of NOS (new old stock) backup lamps like that but have not installed them yet. I was also very fortunate to have found another NOS pair of these lamps that have red glass lenses. I plan to install them on the rear of this gem so that it will have both functioning head and tail lamps. Functioning lights on the front and back of this ugly little beauty will really make it stick out in a collection, car show, or rally. Someone added the center post for a windshield a long time ago but I have no more of the windshield parts. I would suggest that the new owner remove that windshield center post. I am sorry that I have not added the above information or updated photos yet. I donate 2,000 hours a year to help the family farm stay in operation so my time to work on my eBay listings is very limited.
