Up for sale is this very nice Vintage General Electric Model 7-4664A FM/AM/FM Stereo, dual alarm table radio built in June of 1990 in very nice condition and sure to make an excellent conversation piece. Stamp date 2025C. Tested and Working great. Cosmetically it is in very good shape considering it’s age with only minor scuffs and scratches throughout including plastic face plate even though it does not show in the pictures or video. No dents or cracks anywhere. Overall it sits and looks new from a few feet away.The color combination of matte/glossy finish give it a classic look, while the digital display and AM/FM Stereo radio provide modern functionality. The clock radio features a 12-hour display with AM indicator, battery backup (9 Volt Battery not included) and dual alarm. It has a 3/4″ green LED digital display which is soft on the eyes with low/high setting. It even has a headphone jack which by the way sounds very good (tested with a pair of Samson RH-600 headphones). You can lie down in bed and listen to the radio while falling sleep and not worry about turning it off using the (up to) 59 minute sleep timer; this is a very nice feature and it is incredibly crisp and clean sounding for such a small radio.The radio was completely disassembled and cleaned inside/out, the right speaker was repaired with speaker glue in a couple of points given dirt combined with temperature condensation at some point ruptured the paper cone material in a couple of places (can be seen in picture), it was properly addressed using Simply Speakers Adhesive # MI-3035; checked for cold solders and found two that affected the “Wake 1” alarm, they were re-soldered and function is working properly. The internal dial channel was cleaned off old grease and applied a fresh coat of lubricant. Outer shell was buffed to remove most but not all scuffs and scratches. AM/FM pull in stations strongly and clearly. This is a very nice and well put together radio that will give you years of worry free service.Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
